C1 is best known as the 7.5t Licence. In order for you to take this course you must be over the age of 18 and hold a valid drivers licence. If you passed your drivers licence prior to 1997 you are able to drive a C1 vehicle without sitting a test, known as Grandfathers rights, this is providing you have a valid driver CPC Card. The C1 Course with Central Training Hub is a 4-Day course with your test being sat on the 5th Day... each day is a duration of 4 Hours worth of on-the-road training followed by a classroom session with test preparation.

The Category C1+E gives the holder the ability to tow a trailer up to the maximum weight of 750KG. In order to gain the Category C1+E you require your provisional Category C1 and need to pass a theory & hazard perception test. Category C is often known as the Class 2, or rigid and is for weights over 7,500KG. The minimum age needed to obtain this licence is 18 and you will need to pass a theory & hazard perception test. The Category C Course with Central Training Hub is a 4-Day course with your test being sat on the 5th Day... each day is a duration of 4 Hours worth of on-the-road training followed by a classroom session with test preparation.

The Category C+E is often referred to as a Class 1 licence. This involves towing a trainer (this is what the E stands for)! In order to obtain and hold this licence you must be over the age of 18, following recent legislation changes, you are able to gain the C+E licence straight from your car but in order to do that you must pass a theory and hazard perception test. The Category C+E Course with Central Training Hub is a 4-Day course with your test being sat on the 5th Day... each day is a duration of 4 Hours worth of on-the-road training followed by a classroom session with test preparation. If you are joining us straight from a car to C+E the course duration increased to 9 Days training with your test being sat on the 10th Day.

Driver CPC training was introduced to improve the knowledge and skills of a HGV/LGV operator which in turn helps improve road safety, raise the profile of the driver throughout his profession through maintaining a high level of skill and help the help reduce the environmental impact of the driver through reduced fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear. All HGV/LGV drivers must complete 35 hours periodic training over the course of 5 Years by completing 5-Driver Modules. There are no exams involved, once a module has been successfully passed, you will receive a certificate. Once all 5 modules have been successfully completed the DSA will issue you wish a Blue DQC Card which you must carry on your person at all times when driving.
